We’re passionate about marketing for nonprofits like ExtraCare, YMCA, Re-Form Heritage and Dougie Mac because we genuinely believe in the impact they make in people’s lives and communities. These organisations are changing the world in meaningful ways, and we’re proud to support their missions through strategic, thoughtful marketing.
Our deep understanding of the nonprofit sector means we know the unique pressures and opportunities you face – from limited budgets to the need for powerful storytelling that drives engagement and support. But what truly sets us apart is our commitment to thinking differently.
We combine sector expertise with fresh ideas, creative courage and a problem-solving mindset to overcome the obstacles that stand in your way and help you grow your reach, influence, and impact.
YMCA was looking for an intuitive internal platform to improve internal communication across the federation of 83 independent YMCAs throughout England and Wales.
To answer this challenge, as experts in marketing and intranet for charities, we created Y-Hub. This brand new digital platform encompasses a complete directory, news, events, chat, resource and brand centres. We even incorporated a competitive daily quiz.
Y-Hub allows over 10,000 staff, volunteers and trustees to come together on one platform to communicate, collaborate and share resources. Y-Hub is accessible through a browser, as a desktop, tablet or mobile app because we custom-designed it as a progressive web app.
20 years ago, Harrison Carloss became the marketing partner for ExtraCare, a leader in the retirement village field, engaged to launch the nonprofit’s very first retirement village.
Before social media was invented, we were taking a radical ‘social’ stance instead of a conventional property marketing approach. This engaged potential customers early on with an inspirational proposition that focused on independent, healthy and active lifestyle benefits, rather than bricks and mortar.
Over 75% of properties were sold off-plan before the official village opening.
Continuing to leverage our nonprofit sector experience, we were thrilled to work with the incredible Dougie Mac, a charity that is a huge part of our local community. Since 1973, the Dougie Mac charity has been providing hospice services to over 35,000 people with life-limiting illnesses.
Dougie Mac’s online presence is a vital lifeline that relies heavily on increasing donations and fundraising, and appeal to a huge range of stakeholders. We had to consider potential patients and their families to fundraisers, supporters and job seekers.
As a nonprofit marketing agency, the Harrison Carloss solution was to consolidate the charity’s multiple websites into a single hub for everything Dougie Mac, making driving traffic to a single place even easier. To make donating as simple as possible, we ensured Apple Pay was enabled along with other modern payment methods.
Harrison Carloss were dedicated to each step of our project, thinking about how it would be received, and how it could be developed to become even better. They care, and that makes all the difference to an organisation like YMCA.
