This comprehensive solution includes a directory, news section, event calendar, chat feature (complete with emojis and Giphys, of course!), resource and brand centres and an engaging daily quiz. Y-Hub brings together over 10,000 staff, volunteers and trustees on a unified platform for seamless communication, collaboration and resource-sharing.
Our team custom-designed and developed the platform using Laravel and Vue, creating a progressive web app. This ensures accessibility through various mediums, including browsers, desktops, tablets and mobile apps, complete with native push notifications.

Y-Hub’s directory enables users to locate colleagues within local YMCA branches, initiating chats, sharing resources, or forming group chats with colleagues sharing similar job roles or interests to foster mutual support.
Ensuring the security of the system was an emphasis for our project. We implemented data security best practices at every stage of development, considering it a paramount aspect. Our approach included running the system on a dedicated server and utilising top-tier security software, such as Cloudflare, to provide an additional layer of protection for all data on Y-Hub.
As an extra precaution, the entire system undergoes nightly backups, offering peace of mind for the team. This measure ensures that in the unlikely event of any issues, the team can rest assured knowing that data integrity is maintained.
Harrison Carloss are an extremely talented and committed group of individuals, with a real passion for delivering for their client. They were dedicated to each step of our project, thinking about how it would be received, and how it could be developed to become even better. They care, and that makes all the difference to an organisation like YMCA.
