Whether you’re a long-time member of the WooCommerce community or simply a fan, you might have noticed some exciting changes to the website and product.
WooCommerce started out as plugin for WordPress websites, but today it powers millions of ecommerce websites worldwide. In 2023 the brand renamed itself from WooCommerce to ‘Woo’, giving it a more modern and memorable brand identity.
Two years on and Woo has unveiled a brand new look, complete with a stylish logo, a revitalised colour palette, and a comprehensive brand refresh. It’s a transformation that feels long overdue to reflect the platform’s evolution.

Tamara Niesen, the Chief Marketing Officer at Woo, said, “We designed this brand to stand out from our competitors in how we look, what we believe, and how we communicate our value. It’s a reflection of the exciting future we’re building. And this is only the beginning!”
What’s next for Woo?
Throughout 2025 there are plans to make changes to the WooCommerce product to improve its usability, functionality, and performance.
Woo will continue expanding its core functionality to include essential features that were previously available only through extensions. This initiative, sometimes referred to as “more in core,” aims to create a more integrated and user-friendly foundation.
This change brings Woo in line with industry standards and simplifies the platform for all users. Developers will be able to concentrate on creating custom experiences rather than repeatedly building and maintaining common functionalities. Merchants, in turn, will benefit from a comprehensive, out-of-the-box feature set.
Woo publishes a road map to outline their upcoming plans which is the best way to stay up to date with their future updates.
What does this mean for Harrison Carloss?
Harrison Carloss achieved certification as a WooExpert in 2024, but Woo’s rebrand also includes replacing this accolade with a new partner program. Moving forward, we’ll be recognised as one of only a handful of agencies with Woo Partner status in the UK.

Being a Woo Partner means Harrison Carloss and their WooCommerce clients gain access to a range of exclusive benefits, including enhanced support, early access to new content and releases, and the opportunity to contribute to the future development of the WooCommerce platform. This partnership empowers the agency to provide even greater value to its clients.
