Life is too short for bad coffee.
I guess you have to be crazy about marketing to complete a degree in it, right? (Or just crazy.) I did mine at Chester Uni where they say their marketing and digital expertise brings creative communication degrees alive. For me, it’s only when you apply what you’ve learned to the real world that marketing truly comes alive.
With experience on both the agency and client side of things, I’m definitely agency!
Things come alive for me outside of work too in the shape of my horse called Creed, and walking Murphy, my cocker spaniel. I’m potty about pottery, coffee, cake and cheese, and have been known to go wild at music festivals like Glastonbury, covered head to toe in glitter!
In my working capacity I like nothing better than getting under the skin of a client so I can become a virtual extension of their team; it’s the only way to see a client’s goals and aspirations from their own point of view, besides a great way of seeing eye to eye with them.
I count my professional strengths as campaign strategy, web and digital. As for all of that stuff about adding value and going the extra mile? They’re not just words for me – it’s a genuine part of my job. I couldn’t be any other way.
