Front End Web Developer

Full-time | Festival Park | Staffordshire

We’re looking for an awesome and talented Front End Web Developer to join us. Yeah we know it’s exciting, so what are you waiting for?

A few things you probably need to know… You ideally need a minimum of 1-2 years development experience in an agency environment or as a seasoned freelancer, a passion for the latest web techniques and ideas to push the team forward.

Skills to pay the bills

• A strong experience in HTML5 and CSS3/SASS, JavaScript and jQuery
• Development of extended functionality for CMS systems (i.e WordPress)
• Knowledge of Adobe CC (Photoshop, XD)
• Accurately translate web designs into elegant digital experiences
• Ability to work in an agile development environment
• Self-motivated, organised, detail orientated and willing to be challenged
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
• A good understanding of SEO best-practice
• Good problem solver and logical thinker
• Strong understanding of UX/UI and cross-browser compatibility

It would be awesome (and we’d really love you!) if you also have any of the desirable skills we’re looking for…

• Experience with cPanel and source control (e.g. GIT)
• Experience with PHP frameworks (e.g. Laravel)
• Experience with MySQL
• Experience with e-commerce development (e.g. WooCommerce)
• Experience with HubSpot
• Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g. Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor)
• Ability to show thought leadership and learning in your field

What you’ll be doing

• Development, testing and deployment of new websites, platforms and digital experiences
• Maintenance and bug fixing of legacy websites
• Development and maintenance of HTML email templates
• General hosting and server support
• Collaborate and work in the studio to deliver digital projects on time, on budget at the forefront of web innovation
• Research new technologies / development methods to expand our offering to clients
